Master the technique of easing fabric with confidence and precision in this focused masterclass designed to help you achieve smooth, professional results in every garment. Easing is a subtle but essential skill in sewing—used to shape garments beautifully without gathers or puckering. When done correctly, it allows sleeves, curves, and seams to fall naturally and fit perfectly. In this masterclass, you’ll learn how to control fullness with finesse, creating clean lines and a high-end finish. In this masterclass, you will: • Understand what easing is and how it differs from gathering • Learn where and why easing is used in garment construction • Prepare fabric correctly to support smooth easing • Master easing techniques for sleeves, armholes, and curved seams • Control fullness without puckers or visible stitching • Use tools and machine settings effectively for precise results • Troubleshoot common issues such as tucks, drag lines, and uneven distribution Perfect for beginners looking to build strong foundational skills and experienced sewists wanting to refine their technique, this course will transform the way you approach garment construction. By the end of the masterclass, you’ll be able to ease fabric seamlessly into your designs—achieving a clean, professional finish that enhances both fit and overall garment quality.
